Oklahoma has for a long time been analogous with Bingo. That's because the Native bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo sessions for ages. Clients from all of the nearby states load up in vans and travel to Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) followed a landmark decision by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year prior. Since that time, 23 of the 39 Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Native band to take advantage of the gambling rules, and at this time operate 10 casinos of their own. Bingo was the game on which these gambling dens were founded. Electronic games such as slot machines weren't approved, since they are believed to contribute to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.

In recent years, Oklahoma rules has changed to allow for gigantic Native betting gambling dens. You'll now see Amerindian gambling halls with slot machines, video poker and twenty-one tables. Craps and roulette are not authorized in the Amerindian gambling dens yet, but that is only a matter of time. No one can determine what having different gambling den games in the bingo parlors will do for the draw of bingo.
